Why Doesn't HTML Use A Coordinate-Based Format? -

why doesn't it? also, there co-ordinate-based alternative html?

i.e. img tag be;

<img src="cats.jpg" x="100" y="200">

is efficiency?

because has css , box model instead. simple, flexible , allow greater control using co-ordinates. can use pixel values , 'absolute' positioning attribute similar there many scenarios not ideal.
